save the planet
We can all create a future in which both people and nature can co-exist.
But we won’t save the planet by playing by the rules…change needs to start today.
"It seems to me that the natural world is the greatest source of excitement; the greatest source of visual beauty; the greatest source of intellectual interest. It is the greatest source of so much in life that makes life worth living." - Sir David Attenborough
Key initiatives to Save the Planet;
If 1/4 of food currently lost or wasted was saved, it would feed 870m hungry people. Globally an estimated 931 million tonnes of food goes into the waste bins of households, retailers, restaurants and other food services.
That roughly equals 23 million fully loaded 40-tonne trucks – bumper-to-bumper, enough to circle the Earth 7 times.
We are developing a digital tool to help reduce household food waste and helping save time, save money, save food and the planet.
thankful 4 oceans
There has never been a more important time to step up our efforts to protect our oceans.
Healthy oceans are the life support system for our planet, providing 97 percent of the Earth’s liveable habitat and a home to more than 700,000 different species of marine life.
The health of our oceans are vital to life on earth.
thankful 4 farmers
No Farmers, No Food
Farmers across the globe face unprecedented challenges; climatic conditions, reduced investment, trade wars and raising tariffs, evolving consumer expectations, and agricultural labour shortages.
Farmers continue to work hard to put food on our tables everyday and as custodians of the land they are front line environmentalists. Thankful4Farmers acknowledges and values Farmers for their dual role.
